About Us

Business Dedication

This is dedicated to a group of very talented women.  They loved to be creative.  It started with my Grandmothers Anna Faris and Jessie Gettinger.  They passed on their love of quilting, embroidery, and sewing to their daughters, My mother, Naoma and my Aunt Ruth.  I spent many hours watching them with their nimble and knowledgeable hands creating the most beautiful quilts.  Their stitches were amazing

so tiny and perfect.  Fortunately in this day and age we have machines that will do the quilting and embroidery for you.  I fear that those hand stitched items are a dying art.

This dedication would not be complete with out a special mention of my Aunt Virginia.  She taught her three daughters and my sisters and I to sew.  Believe me dealing with those six girls required amazing patience.  I never heard her raise her voice even when telling us to rip out the seam and do it again.

My Grandmother Anna had six daughters and two daughters-in-law that all were seamstrists and my Grandmother Jessie had two daughters.  Needless to say it would have been impossible to be in these families and not develop a love of creating with fabric.

I am forever grateful for what these women passed on to me.  Hopefully you will find my creations to be pleasing to you.
